Henrietta Everett

Services for Henrietta V. Everett, 88, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Everett died Sunday, January 5, at a local hospital.

She was born in Temple on February 23, 1925, to William J. Matous and Henrietta Lydia Cabla Matous. She attended Temple Junior College and Kings Daughters School of Nursing. She worked at Ft. Hood for ten years as an Administrative Assistant. Mrs. Everett was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple and participated in the home Bible study group.

Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her parents her first husband Willis Garner on October 30, 1951 her second husband Harley Everett on December 14, 1993 and four brothers, William Matous, Jr., Frank Matous, Ladis Matous, and Gene Matous one sister, Helen Sandefur daughter, Joyce Garner Roach grandson, Christopher Everett and granddaughter, Dawn Everett.

She is survived by son, Patrick Everett of Temple son and daughterinlaw, James and Allison Garner of San Antonio daughter, Jo Anne Garner of Temple daughter and soninlaw Patti and Wayne Bryant of Temple brother Edward Matous of Temple sister Norma Alford of Temple grandchildren Kyle and Katie Everett, Pat and Ashley Roach, Allan and Erika Garner, Aaron Garner, Alex Garner, Emily Garner, James Smith, and Tiffany Truster and seven greatgrandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of your choosing.

Visitation will be 68 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at the funeral home.
