Helen Urick

Helen Blanche Urick, 84 of Temple, died Tuesday, August24, 2010 at a local nursing center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Saturday August 28, 2010 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple. Rev. Justin Nguyen will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Ms. uricj was born April 29, 1926 to Frank and Ruth Polansky Urick in Cameron. She was the first organist 19551983 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton. She also played organ at St. Marys Catholic Church and St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple. She was a member of the Altar Society at both Temple churched and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of Temple. She was a Eucharist Minister and member of the church choir. Ms. Urick did volunteer service with her mother at the VA Hospital in Temple during the war. She was employed with Monteith Abstract Company in Temple for 52 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elizabeth Ann Cain.

She is survived by neice and God daughter, Ruth Cain of Houston, aunts, Angie Vaux of Dallas and Libby Laird of Houston. Numerous cousins and friends.
