Helen Taylor

Helen Louise Taylor, 71, of Moody, Texas, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, March 6, 2014 at 8:15a.m. in Galveston,Texas. Viewing will be 68 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the funeral home with Brother Mark Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery.

Helen Taylor was born November 13, 1942 to Louis and Nora Sewell Phelps in Temple, Texas. Helen was preceded in death by her parents Louis Nora Phelps, three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her brother L.J. Phelps, sons Robert Taylor, Danny Taylor, William Taylor, daughters Cheryl Taylor, Tressa Mahoney, Melissa Mitchell, several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Mahoney, Benjamin Hardin, Nicholas Smith, Steven Taylor, Douglas Flower, Zachery Flower, and Justin Culverhouse.

The family suggests that donations in Helens name be made to the Moody Community Library at 108 5th Street, Moody Texas 76557.
