Helen Ryan

Memorial service for Helen Faye Ryan, 77, of Temple will be 10:30 am Saturday, June 22, 2013 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Ryan Kiblinger officiating.
Mrs. Ryan died Wednesday in a local care center.
Helen was born to Fred and Elsie Lowry on March 26, 1936 in Haynesville, Louisiana. She married James Xavier Ryan in 1958 in Marshall. Mrs. Ryan was past president of the Temple Country Club Womens Golf Association. She was a member of the Texas Retail Grocers Association for over 10 years. She was the owner and operator of the Piggly Wiggly in Temple for many years. Helen was a proud sponsor of Holy Angles Home for Disabled Children in Shreveport for most of her life.
Survivors include one son, Randy Ryan of Temple three daughters, Barbara Sudaz of Temple, Sandy Hussey of Belton, Patty Summers of Temple two sisters, Wanda Gates of Branson, Missouri, Freda Buttler of Shreveport, Lousiana thirteen grandchildren ten greatgrandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband three brothers, Fred Lowry, Jimmy Lowry, Jackie Lowry two greatgrandchildren, Riley Cooper Dixon, Camara Grace Dixion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
