Graveside services for Harold Weight, 58, of Temple will be held 10:00 a. m., Monday, July 11 at North Belton Cemetery.
Mr. Weight passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2016 at a local hospital.
Harold Weight was born on December 8, 1957 in Neu-Ulm, Germany to William D. Weight and Ursula Meissner Weight. He was one of four children. Harold graduated from Job Corp in 1976 and worked for the Fort Hood commissary, Oak Farms, and was a truck driver for several companies. In 2009 he started with Wilbea Medical of Belton until his retirement. His heart's desire was fishing and being with his grandchildren. A family tradition was going to a new camping site every year and being Santa Claus for the forgotten elderly. He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debbra Weight: two sons, Neal Santiago, Rafael Santiago and wife Kendra; two daughters, Felicia Crathers and husband Jermaine, Lisa Truelove and husband Chan; one brother, Grant Weight and friend Teresa; one sister, Angelika Hupp and husband Gary; and eight grandchildren, Chayton Truelove, Isreal Santiago, Jazmyn Crathers, Alayna Santiago, Sydney Watson, Layla Santiago, Meika Truelove, and Catalina Santiago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margitta Logan; and a niece, Patty Logan.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 11, at the funeral home.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
