Services for Harold Lloyd H.L. Crocker, 87, of Temple will be 10 a.m. Friday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Reverend Jay Thomas officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow in Wilson Valley Cemetery in Little River, Texas.
Mr. Crocker died Friday, November 1, at a local care facility.
He was born July 17, 1926, in Breckenridge, Texas to Jackson C. Crocker and Lillie Davis Crocker. He graduated from Gaston High School in Joinerville, Texas. He served in the United States Navy from July 1944 April 1954 and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. H.L. loved his country and was a true patriot. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for many years as a carman and was a former member of the Word of Life Family Church.
H.L. was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Gladys Whitehead Crocker, and his second wife, Wanda Parton Crocker.
He is survived by his son, James Heaton of Waco three daughters, Tracie S. Crocker of Temple, Chyrl Moore of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Linda Stovall of Lubbock two brothers, Ray Crocker of South Carolina and Charles Crocker of Ft. Worth a sister, Betty Wimber of Englewood, Colorado ten grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be 68 p.m. Thursday, November 7 at the funeral home.
