Glenda Lowder

Glenda Jean Whitis Lowder, 77 of Temple, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019.  A time of viewing and visitation will be held with the family from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2019.  A private family burial will take place at a later date in Indiana.

Glenda was born December 27, 1941 to Alma and Lindsey Whitis in Indianapolis, IN.  She was an avid reader, loved bowling, spending time with her family and friends and special trips to go gambling.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jimmy Joe Lowder.

She is survived by one son, Michael Lowder and wife Melissa; one daughter, Barbara Ann Kostiha and husband David; one brother, Dwight Whitis and wife Voleetta; sister, Sue Reiger; three grandchildren, Heather Brisbin, Stephen Lowder, and Jonathan Lowder; four great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives are left to cherish her memories.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Baylor Scott and White Hospital especially the hospice wing.
