Born in Granger, Texas on October 13th, 1937, Gertrude's journey on this earth was one marked by steadfast determination and unwavering love.

Graduating from Temple High School, Gertrude's thirst for knowledge was matched only by her passion for life. She dedicated many years of her career to working at K-Mart in Detroit, Michigan.

As a mother to Tom, Jon, and Lauri, Gertrude embodied the essence of maternal love. She was their rock – supportive, honest, and never shy to impart invaluable life lessons. Her belief in her children was unwavering and she made sure to show them every day just how much they meant to her.

Her proudest achievements were not accolades or awards but rather her beloved grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.
