Gertie Arnold

Gertie Ophelia Arnold, 75 of Temple, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at her residence. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday, October 2, 2010 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Elton Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Pendleton Cemetery.

Gertie Arnold was born February 15, 1935 to Giles Nathan and Mary Elizabeth Taylor Murrow in Mabank, Texas. On May 15, 1954, she was married to Sonny Arnold in Belton, Texas. She worked as a cook in Temple for 10 years. She also worked as a homemaker. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Twin Cities Baptist Church in Temple.
She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: her husband Sonny Arnold of Temple, daughters Nelda Collins and husband Mark of Grapevine, and Debra Arnold of Temple, brothers Joe Lee Murrow of Temple, and Wilburn Lee Murrow of Rogers, and sisters Josephine Harrison of Moody and Lola Mae Grosprion of LaMarque.

Visitation will be 6:00 8:00pm Friday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home.
