Geronimo Resendez

Memorial services for Geronimo Ortiz Resendez, 61, of Temple, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Temple with Reverend Thom Lamb and Reverend Leigh Benish officiating.

Mr. Resendez died Wednesday, December 14, at his home in Temple.

Geronimo Ortiz Resendez was born March 26, 1955 in Temple, Texas to Jacinto Resendez and Margarita Ortiz Resendez. He attended school in Troy, Texas. Geronimo worked in construction and as a truck driver for the City of Temple for seven years, for Temple College for ten years, and for Grace Presbyterian Church for many years until his retirement. He lived in Temple all of his life and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Resendez was preceded in death by his parents, Jacinto and Margarito Resendez; two brothers, Luciano and Christoval Resendez; and one sister, Lillie Resendez.

He is survived by his daughter, Chasta Charmae Ortega; brothers, Rosendo Resendez, Reymundo Resendez, and Jesus Resendez; sisters, Esther Hernandez, Emma Naranjo, Maria Steele, Ginoveva Davila, Sara Anderson, and Florence Resendez; and three grandchildren, Valerie Ortega, Vanessa Rodriguez, and Vivianna Garcia.
