Funeral services for Harold Guerra, 61, of Temple will be held 10 AM Friday, August 17, 2018, at Christ Episcopal Church, 300 N. Main St. in Temple, with Father Justin Yawn officiating. A time of visitation and fellowship will take place 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Guerra passed from this life at a local hospital while surrounded by family on Sunday, August 12, 2018. Harold was born on January 22, 1957 in Temple to Thomas D. and Mary Guerra.

Harold was a life-long resident of Temple. He was a good and faithful Christian man. For many years, Harold was a remodeling contractor in the central Texas area. He loved music, playing the drums and writing music in his younger days. Harold always enjoyed a trip to the casino whenever he could. He loved to draw and was very talented. Harold also enjoyed fishing, pitching horse shoes, and softball with friends and family whenever he could. Most of all Harold loved shooting pool. He and his team "G-Force" competed in many different tournaments all over the state. He truly loved the game and the relationships he formed while playing. Harold's greatest treasure in life was his family. He was a true family man at heart. Harold loved spending time with his siblings and their families. He had a very special bond with all of his nieces and nephews. Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Guerra is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Johnny Martinez; and a sister, Mary Frances Guerra.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his brothers, Thomas Guerra Jr., Joe Guerra, David Guerra, Adam Guerra, Robert Guerra; sisters, Sandra Deleon, Delilah Guerra, Juanita Adams, Rosa Castillo, Sara Guerra, Betty Polendo; his many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Services are entrusted to the directors at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
