alignjustifyGerald L. Storms, 95, of Temple passed away Sunday at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Rev. Trey Turner will officiate.

alignjustifyMr. Storms was born March 9, 1914 to Jesse and Margaret Elmina OBryant Storms in Mission, Texas. He married Carrie Lois Tampke on September 12, 1934 in Utopia, Texas. He worked for Exxon as an oil and gas worker for 35 years and retired in 1979. In 1984, he moved to Temple. Mr. Storms was a member of First Baptist Church in Ingleside and also a member of the Masonic Lodge Chamberlain 913 in Kingsville for over 60 years.

alignjustifyMr. Storms is predeceased by his parents, his wife, two brothers, James and Hubert Storms and 2 sisters, Mina Moore and Ruth Crawford.

alignjustify He is survived by children: Jenelle Van Matre of Temple, Jerry Gene Storms of Austin and Jeanette Wuest of Ingleside. 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
