George Lee Hopkins, Jr. 56 of Temple, passed away August 11, 2010 at his residence. Memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Monday, August 16th at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Entombment will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

George was borm March 29, 1954 to George Lee and BarbaraWheeler Hopkins in Alvin, He was a member of the First Christian Church in Temple. He woroked many years for HarperTalasek Funeral Home and also personally for Mr. Reuben D. Talasek. he later worked for Murray Distributing Company in Temple.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Hopkins in 2004, his parents and a sister.

He is survived by stepdaughters Jennifer LaMotte of Buckholts and Nichole Gutierrez of Temple, brother, Bruce Hopkins of Alvin, and 2 grandchildren.
