Gentry Ashurst

Funeral service for Gentry Lloyd Ashurst, 74 of Temple will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Ashurst was born March 18, 1935 to the late Robert Lloyd and Helen Pruwitt Ashurst in Tyler, TX., he died in Temple, Saturday May 30 in a local nursing home.
br
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joan Martin.

br
Mr. Ashurst was in the United States Army, retiring after 20 plus years of service having at one point being awarded a Purple Heart Medal.

Mr. Ashurst is survived by: 4 children, one sister: Margaret Smith of Corpus Christi and four brothers: Robert T. Ashurst of Universal City, TX, Gilbert Ashurst of Corpus Christi, Adolph Chris Konrad of Phoenix, AZ and James Ashurst of Talahassee, FL.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
