Gene Wells

Gene Arthur Wells, 70, of Granite Shoals, Texas died Saturday, April 26, 2008 in a Austin, Texas hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Frank Dearing officiating.

Mr. Wells was born to John Edward and Ella Myrtis Shed Wells in Milam County on August 22, 1937. Prior to his retirement, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He had been a resident of Granite Shoals for the past 25 years.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas G. Wells of Austin and Clayton Wells of Granite Shoals; one daughter, Catherine Susan Wells of Granite Shoals; two sisters, Dorothy L. Hale and Beatrice Y. Duncan, both of Temple; and seven grandchildren.
