Memorial Services for Gareth "Gary" Wells Tolman, 79, of Belton will be 1 PM Saturday, June 9, at Christ Episcopal Church, 300 N. Main St. in Temple.

Gary Passed from this life Friday, June 1, while surrounded by his family. Mr. Tolman was born September 23, 1938 to Cyrus and Evelyn Tolman in Wichita, KS.

Gary was a resident of Clear Lake for many years until moving to Temple in 2006. He was a faithful member of Christ Episcopal Church in Temple. Mr. Tolman was a corporate attorney for American Insurance Company for over forty years. Gary received the "Author J. Morris Award of Life Time Achievement" from the CCIA. Traveling was a passion for Gary. He and his wife Jane especially loved their time in many different parts of Europe. Mr. Tolman was a wonderful cook and always had something special prepared for any occasion. He also loved to fish anytime and anywhere he could with friends and family. His greatest treasure in life was his beloved family. He and Jane were happily married for 56, years. Gary will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Tolman is preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus and Evelyn Tolman and a brother, Cyrus Hayes Tolman.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Jane Tolman of Temple; Sons, Cyrus Scott Tolman and wife, Lisa of League City, Brooks W. Tolman of Rockwall; four grandchildren, Kim, Max, CJ, and Sophia; and last but certainly not least, Chance his beloved Labrador Retriever.
