Frederick Morales

Services for Frederick Steven Morales, 76, of Temple, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Brother Larry Henry officiating.

Mr. Morales died Friday, April 3, at a local care facility.

Fred was born March 13, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Adolph and Claira Conklin Morales. He married Nettie Mae Morales February 7, 1969 and she preceded him in death in 1999. Fred was a plumber by trade and worked for RotoRooter prior to his retirement. He played guitar in the Jean Morgan and Beltones Band for several years. Fred lived in the Temple area for 50 years and was a member of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Morales was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie; a son, Steven Morales; and a brother, Paul Conklin.

He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Morales of Morgan's Point, Debra Kay Parker and husband Larry of Temple, and Beverley Marek and husband Johnny of San Marcos; and a son Gaylon Lowerey of Temple.
