Graveside services for Frankie Joe Bedrich, Jr., 90, of Temple will be held today at 4:00 pm at Bellwood Memorial Park with Deacon Bill Smetana officiating.
Mr. Bedrich passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at a local care facility.
Mr. Bedrich was born March 26, 1927 in East Bell County to the late Frankie Joe Bedrich, Sr. and Theresa Gerza Bedrich. He attended school in East Bell County. Frankie married Dorothy Ann Jez on April 15, 1950 in Temple. He was a lifelong resident of Bell County where he farmed and ranched for many years. He was also a gravedigger and owned and operated Bedrich Services until his retirement in 1998. He was a lifetime and founding member of East Bell Youth Boosters, former member of Bell County Fair Board, and a member and officer of Capital Farm Credit for over 50 years. He was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple and was currently attending St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cyclone. Mr. Bedrich was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.
Frankie was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, bar-b-queing and processing meat. He was passionate about raising cattle and attended cattle auctions whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Bedrich in 1988. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Bedrich.
Those left to carry on his legacy are his son, Joseph Bedrich and wife Debbie of Rogers; his daughter, Anita Benson of Houston; sister-in-law, Jeannette Bedrich; 6 grandchildren, Jason Bedrich and wife Amanda, Lauren Lawless and husband Tom, Paisley Bedrich, Brady Bedrich, Carl Benson and Haley Benson; 2 great-grandchildren Kylie Bedrich and Logan Schuetze. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 from 2:00-3:30pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Bellwood Memorial Park with Deacon Bill Smetana officiating.
