Services for Frank William Marek, 83, of Temple, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 27 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will follow in Temple Garden of Memories.
Mr. Marek passed away Monday, January 22, in Harker Heights.
Frank William Marek was born April 26, 1934 in Bell County, Texas to Frank Robert Marek and Dolphina Jezek Marek. He married Letha Faye Burks on July 29, 1955. He served
in the United States Army and served in Korea for 15 months. He retired from Wilson Art after 30 years, and then from Johnson Brothers Ford after 20 years. Frank was a
member of Temple Brethren Church, VFW Post #1820, and the SPJST.
Mr. Marek was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, and his parents.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Marek Morris and husband, Josef (Joe); brothers Edwin Marek and wife Nelda, Johnnie Marek and wife Gloria, Marvin Marek, and
Daniel Marek and wife Zephyr; sisters Elsie Macek and husband John, Linda Winn and husband Bob, Dorothy Zaskoda and husband Matthew, and Gladys Richards and husband
Billy; and two grandchildren, Crystal and Josef Morris.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, January 26, at the funeral home.
The family wishes to express a special thank-you to the nurses and staff of Baylor Scott and White Hospital Fourth Floor and STC 5, and to Interim Hospice and Health Care for
their care during this time.
