Frank Gomez, Jr.

Frank L. Gomez, Jr., 67, of Temple, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 9 am Friday, November 9 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Vincent Romuald officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Frank was born January 18, 1951 to Frank E. and Carmen (Lopez) Gomez, Sr. in Temple, Texas. Frank worked for the maintenance department of Troy ISD and was also a 20 year long bus driver, serving the community and our local families by keeping our children safe on the roads to and from school. He was a wonderful family man and cared deeply for his wife and daughters. Frank was a Texas Longhorn fan and enjoyed watching the games while relaxing with family and friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Carmen; and his daughter, Helen Gomez.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda Gomez; daughters, Lisa Taylor and husband Joe, and Angie Ortiz and husband, Bert; brothers, Joe John Gomez and Daniel Gomez; and 5 grandchildren, Travis Taylor, Samuel Taylor, Sophia Ortiz, Bert Ortiz IV and Breana Ortiz.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, November 8 with the Rosary recited at 7 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
