Frances Kohut

Mass services for Frances Marie Kohut, 95, of Temple will be held at noon on Friday, July 21 at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Fr. James Ekeocha officiating. Burial procession will go to Bellwood Memorial Cemetery.
France M. Kohut died on Monday, July 17, 2017 at a local care facility.
Frances Marie Kohut was born on February 27, 1922 to John Brenek and Frances Vasicek Brenek in Temple, Texas. Frances married Johnnie Kohut Sr. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cyclone on October 22, 1947. She worked as a 5th grade room mother for St. Mary's Catholic School. She was a loving mother and dedicated wife. She was a member of the Women's Society of St. Luke's, S.P.J.S.T member of lodge #47. She was a member of the K.J.Z.T Society Lodge #97 of Temple, Texas where she served as the treasurer for 45 years. She was devout catholic and was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Temple.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Johnnie Kohut Jr; seven brothers, Rudolph, Robert, John, Felix, Dionys, Edward, Joe and three sisters, Gabrielle Svoboda, Agnes Schlottman, and Bessie Brenek.
Survivors include her son, Raymond Kohut; two daughters, Marie Wolf, Elizabeth Arnold; two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the St. Judes Foundation.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with rosary at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Arrangements are in the care of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
