Floyd Dixon

Mr. Floyd Dean Dixon, 73, of Temple passed away at his home July 10, 2012. Services will be Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10am at Harper Talasek Funeral Home Temple with burial to follow at Bellwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the funeral home from 68pm.
Dean was born to Denny Decatur Dixon and Artie Lambright on August 13, 1938 in Flat, Texas. He worked for the railroad for 44 years before retiring from it. He was an active member of the Brotherhood of Railway Car MenTCU and a member of Heights Baptist Church. He met the love of his life Marlyce Taylor in Temple and they were married March 16, 1983.
Dean was preceded in death by 5 of his brothers and sisters and his great grandson, Cooper Dixon.
Dean is survived by his wife Marlyce Dixon, his sons Ricky Dixon of Waco, Tx, Chris Dixon of Houston, Tx, and Keith Dixon of Temple, Tx, his daughters Kelli Cooper McDonald of Temple, Tx, Audrey Robertson of San Jose, CA, and Ingrid Robertson of San Jose, CA, his sisters Clara Saverino of California, and Jerry Riley of Gatesville, Tx, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
