Florence Boren

Services for Florence LaNell Boren, 96, of Temple, Texas will be 2:30 pm Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Memorial Baptist Church in Temple with Pastor Ridge Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.

Florence LaNell Boren passed away Thursday, August 13th at a local nursing care facility.

Nell was born July 4, 1919 to Frank Gibson and Ura L. York Gibson in Kerns, Texas. She married Charles F. Boren and they were blessed with three daughters. Nell was a lifelong resident of Temple and a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She was very active with the Scott and White Pioneers and the Church Women of Temple. Nell was employed by Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Accounts Receivable.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Charles F. Boren in 1973.

Survivors include her three daughters, Jean Thorp, Sue Redman and husband William, Judy Taylor; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, August 14th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at the Funeral Home.
