Services for Flemmon Cox, III, 65, of Temple, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with David Gregory officiating. A reception will follow the service at the Harper-Talasek Family Center.
Mr. Cox passed away Wednesday, June 8, at his home in Temple.
Flemmon Cox was born August 30, 1950 in Killeen, Texas to Flemmon Ezekial Cox, II and Lily Kathlyn Brown Cox. He married Linda Bishop in 1967. He owned and operated Cox's Flooring from 1969 until 2006 and was proud to teach the trade to his family. He was raised in Belton and was a Baptist by faith. Flemmon was the rock everyone leaned on and opened his home to all in need. He enjoyed camping, fishing, dancing and his pets.
Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda; sons, Flemmon P. Cox and Scotty Cox; daughter Rene Wilson and husband Marcus; sisters, Lillie Curtis, Nita Chapman and husband Curt, Nancy Jennings, and Laura Lee Drake; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday, June 11, and from noon - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on June 12.
