Fernando Suarez

Services for Fernando Garcia Suarez, 87, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Suarez died Saturday, May 31, at his home in Temple.

He was born May 30, 1927 in Golinda, Texas to Antonio Suarez Ybarra and Tiburcia Garcia. He married Maria Benavidez on August 11, 1949 in Waco, Texas. He was a heavy machine operator and retired from the American Desk Manufacturing Company after over 35 years of employment. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Mr. Suarez was preceded in death by his parents his wife, Maria a son, Guadalupe Suarez and two brothers, Ernesto Suarez and Eligio Suarez.

He is survived by two daughters Rosa Chavez and husband David, Virginia Suarez brothers Emilio Suarez and Antonio Suarez and his sister, Celia Suarez three grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be 68 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple. Recitation of rosary will be at 7 p.m.
