Services for Felix Clement Zak, 77, of Temple, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Julian Tyboroski officiating. Burial will follow in procession to Temple Garden of Memories. The family invites you for food and fellowship at the Harper-Talasek Family Center after the burial.
Mr. Zak died Monday, August 22, in Temple.
Felix Clement Zak was born on November 18, 1938 in Granger to Louis John Zak and Louise Pekar Zak. Clem joined the U.S. Army in January 1962. He worked for American Desk and transferred to Wilson Art as a leadsman until his retirement. He was a proud father and enjoyed spending time fishing at Granger Lake, Belton Lake and occasionally at the coast. Some other hobbies were hunting and racing cars at the Academy Speedway. He was inventive and tinkered on his cars, lawn mower and crafted many items. If you knew him you would have known that he was always right about everything.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randall Zak; and brothers, Edward Zak, Anton Zak, and Joseph Zak.
Clem is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Pavone of Killeen, TX; two brothers, Johnny Zak and wife Annie of Rosenberg, TX; Richard Zak and wife Annie of Rosenberg, TX; two sisters, Evelyn Cervenka of Taylor, TX; Louise Howell of Hutto, TX; sister-in-law Loretta Zak of Rosenberg, TX; four grandchildren, Ashley, Brittney, Clayton, Braydon; and two great grandchildren, Colton and Elena .
Visitation will be held 5:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, August 26 at the funeral home.
