Felisitas Cruz

Felisitas Rivas Cruz, 92, of Temple, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Scott and White Hospital. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Cruz was born June 9, 1921 in Taylor, Texas, the daughter of Miguel Rivas and Tomasa Luna. She met Juan Cruz and married January 20, 1936, in Temple, Texas. Felisitas worked for the Old Original for over 40 years, La Fiesta and Jericho Restaurant for several years and retired but continued cooking for friends and family. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, stepson, and husband.

She is survived by her thirteen children Patsy Cuevas, Johnnie Cruz, Sunday Cruz, of Temple, Martha Lopez of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Theodore Cruz, Helen Munoz, Dathin Solis, Felisitas Vriseno, Gloria Duarte of Temple, Sylvia Torres of Rogers Michael Cruz of Bruceville Eddy, Maria Teresa Lara, and Arturo Cruz of Temple. She has 34 grand children, 67 great grand children, and 11 greatgreat grand children.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
