Mrs. Felicitas Aranda, of Temple, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at her home. She was born March 31, 1926 in San Benito, TX, to the late Pompos Alvarado and Alejandra Mendez.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Catarino Aranda of the home, her daughters Mariana A. Castro and husband, Robert Castro, Maria Martinez, and husband, Julio Martinez, Maria Tovar and husband, Alfonso Tovar, Yolanda Aranda and husband Fernando Martinez and Maria Olivia Perez and husband, Arthur C. Perez. sons J. Margarito Alvarado, and wife, Martha E. Alvarado, J. Natalio Aranda and wife, Gloria M. Aranda and J. Alejandro Aranda. Fifteen grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends from 57 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be held Monday, August 29, 2011, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Father Tom Chamberlin will officiate. Final services and burial for Mrs. Aranda will be in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico.
