Evona Eickenhorst

Mrs. Evona Kuhn Eickenhorst, 90 of Temple died Saturday, August 6 at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eickenhorst will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday August 10 at the HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple with Dr. Martin Knox officiating, interment will follow at the Ben Arnold Cemetery in Ben Arnold, Texas
Mrs. Eickenhorst was born June 15, 1921 to the late Adolph Joe and Annie Kuhn in Ben Arnold, Tx. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Temple for many years where she was very involved in her Sunday School Class, she sang in the Joy Singers Choir, she was a member of the Bell Extension Education Association. She graduated from the C.H. Yoe High School in Cameron.
Mrs. Eickenhorst was married to Walter Edward Eickenhorst on September 21, 1947 and he preceded her in death October 30, 2007, she is also preceded in death by her son, Ray Edward Eickenhorst in 1972.
She is survived by two daughters: Susan Casaccia of Asuncion, Paraguay and Judy Smithson of Houston and two granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Music Ministry at the First Baptist Church in Temple 204 W. Calhoun, Temple, TX 76501.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, August 9 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
