Eugene Hejl

Eugene Hejl, age 84 of Temple, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at a local nursing care facility. Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Seaton Cemetery in Seaton.

Eugene was born on February 13, 1936 to Robert and Vlasta (Bravenec) Hejl in Seaton, Texas. He married Anna Mae Lock on April 5, 1980. He enjoyed playing in Tarok and Domino tournaments through the SPJST and loved dancing to a good polka. Eugene worked in the purchasing department at Scott & White Hospital until his retirement. He was a member of East Highway Baptist Church and the SPJST Seaton Lodge #47.

Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vlasta Hejl; wife, Anna Mae Hejl; sister, Mildred Bartek; brother, Robert Hejl Jr.; and infant sister, Dorothy Hejl.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his sister, Juanita Bartek; son, Bradley Hejl; son, Russell Hejl; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
