Esperansa Flores Davila, age 71 of Temple, gained her wings and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with a visitation starting at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.
Esperansa was born on March 13, 1951, to Longino Flores and Olivia Miranda Flores in Big Spring, Texas. She grew up in Big Spring and later moved to Temple in 1970. Esperansa married Amador Davila in February of 1981 and they shared 41 years together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She enjoyed travelling and was always on the go. First and foremost, Esperansa loved God! She was a member of Rosa De Saron Pentecostal Church for 32 years. She was a fighter, and she fought with everything in her. She sacrificed for her children and grandchildren and loved them all fiercely.
Esperansa was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carlos Flores, and Jesse Flores; and son, David Atkinson.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her loving husband, Amador Davila; brothers, Longino Flores, Jose Flores, Raymond (Remigio) Flores, and Juan Flores; sisters, Mary Perez, Grace Gonzalez, and Margharita Rocha; sons, Alvin Atkinson Jr., Amador Atkinson Sr., and Quincy Sanders; daughter, Sherry Ann Atkinson. Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren, Joseph Palomino, Jacob Searles, Lauren Searles, Cali Ayers, Cayden Ayers, Alyssa Atkinson, Alvin Atkinson III, Abigail Atkinson, Adam Atkinson, Amerie Atkinson, Austin Atkinson, Ayden Atkinson, Brianna Mendez, Kammie Atkinson, Suzanna Atkinson, Vivianna Hale, Khloe Hale, Amador Atkinson Jr., and Bella Atkinson; and great grandchildren, Jesse Palomino, Amelia Palomino, Alexander McFarland, Mirabella Searles, Ava Nava, Logan Nava, Addison Norwood, and Valentina Atkinson.
