Erasmo Zambrano, 58, of Temple, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 in a Temple hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Justin Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Zambrano was born to Comodoro and Martina DeLeon Zambrano in Mathis, Texas on December 14, 1950. He was a resident of Temple most of his life. He was a 1969 graduate of Temple High School. He married Mary Lara on September 21, 1967. He was presently employed with McLane Southwest, where he was named Employee of the Year in 2008. Mr. Zambrano was formerly employed with Texas Hydraulics for 20 years, and had also worked for Mohawk, TMS, Western Hatchery, American Pallet and C and H Diecasting. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Zambrano of Temple; mother, Martina Zambrano of Dinuba, California; three sons, Mario Zambrano of Austin, Ruben Reyes of Temple and Manuel Reyes of Nicholasville, Kentucky; two daughters, Linda Conley of Temple and Yolanda Jarma of Leander; six brothers, Guadalupe Zambrano of Temple, Euilio Zambrano of Dinuba, California, Comodoro Zambrano, Jr. of Fresno, California, Jimmy Frank Zambrano of Dinuba, California, Mario Zambrano of Ceres, California and Leandro Zambrano of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Diana Dees of San Jose, California and Dubina Martinez of Las Vegas, Nevada; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Rogelio Roy Zambrano and a sister, Dubersa Martinez.
Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
