Emmett Northcutt

Emmett Morgan Northcutt, a long time resident of Temple, Texas, was laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Viewing was held Saturday, noon at HarperTalasek Funeral Home with family and friends in attendance.

Mr. Northcutt was born in Ladonia, Texas on September 24, 1917 and was one of 9 children born to Nancy Ann Moore Northcutt and William Pinkney Northcutt. He expired at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston, Texas on February 6, 2014.

He had served as a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene for many years. Most of that time was spent in Corsicana, Texas. Part of his years he spent in sales.

Mr. Northcutt is survived by 2 daughters and their spouses. Karen Fae Bearinger and her spouse, Charles Bearinger, are from League City, Texas. Aneta Joan Cupp and husband, Charles Daniel Cupp, are from Houston, Texas.

Grandchildren are Ronald David Thomas and Shellie Renee Givens with spouse Roland Givens. Great grandchildren are Karen Laurel Voussine and spouse, Dusty Voussine and Brittany Janee Dorrill. One greatgreat granddaughter is Ada Marie Voussine.

Many nieces, nephews, and their families live near Bonham, Texas, west Texas, and one in Oklahoma.

Reflecting back on his life, he showed a strong faith in God, the importance of family, the appreciation of friends, and a strong work ethic.
