Emilie Mikulas Sefcik was born August 2, 1925 in Seaton, Texas to Josef Frank Mikulas and Theresie Lesikar Mikulas. She grew up and attended school and church in Seaton. She graduated from Temple High School, where she was a member of the girl's championship baseball team and the girl's tennis and volleyball teams. She married Willie Edward Sefcik in Temple on March 28, 1945. Mrs. Sefcik was a homemaker until returning to the workforce with American Desk and Mutual of Omaha, where she retired. She attended Seaton Brethren Church, was a founding member of Evangelical Brethren Church, where she sang in the choir, was a Member of the Women's Fellowship Circle at Evangelical Brethren Church and attended Heights Baptist Church. Emilie was the family historian and spent many, many years researching the family tree. She enjoyed working in her yard and was a most supportive and loving Mom who enjoyed travelling with her daughters. She will be greatly missed, but her family is celebrating her joy in being in Heaven with Jesus and her family members and friends who have gone before her.

Mrs. Sefcik was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Edward Sefcik; five brothers, Adolph Mikulas, Jerry Mikulas, Joe Mikulas, Emil Mikulas, Rudolph Mikulas; and three sisters, Lillie Jez, Clara Junek, and Vlasta Martinec; and nephews James Martinec and Frank Martinec, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Cox and husband Coy, and Paula Dixon; two grandchildren, Jeremy Dixon and wife Lynne, and Joshua Dixon; two great-grandchildren, Kole Dixon and Kinlee Dixon; and nieces and nephews, Jerry Mikulas, Jr., Carol Hunt, Kim Hamm, Linda Morgan, Cindy Williams, Michael Mikulas, Janet Odstrcil, Sandra Carver, Trudy Wood, Johnny Martinec, A.J. Junek, Jr., Margaret Shepard, Lionel Mikulas, and Elaine Hamm.
