Emil Jacob Polasek, 79, of Temple died Wednesday at a local hospital. Visitation will be 57 p.m. at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2010 at St Luke Catholic Church in Temple.
Mr. Polasek was born October 30, 1930 in Jarrell to John F. and Frances Lefner Polasek. He married Frances Pekar on August 9, 1955.
He served in the Air Force from 1953 1957. He was an avid sportsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was a member of Central Texas Sportsman Club and Bell County Sportsman Club. He was a member of St Luke Catholic Church in Temple. Mr. Polasek was retired from Wilsonart where he worked as a punch press operator.
Mr. Polasek is preceded in death by his parents brother, Johnnie Polasek and sister, Genevive Naizer.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances Polasek of Temple daughters: Jo Ann Klepac and husband, David of Temple, Dorothy Fuentes and husband, Felix, Sr. of Little River and Shirley Schneider and husband, Gerald of Temple sisters: Vlasta Kallus of Granger and Georgie Vanecek and Mary Vanecek both of Sinton 7 grandchildren: Daryl Polasek, Gale Kelley, Jr., James Fuentes, Felix Fuentes, Jr., Kimberly Klepac, Crystal Kelley and Kirk Dwayne Klepac and 11 great grandchildren.
