Funeral Services for Elva Nieto Navarrete, 63, will be held 10 AM Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Temple with Pastor Rudy Diaz. A time of visitation will be Monday April 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM with music provided by Ricardo Hernandez Sr..

Elva Navarrete passed from this life on April 5, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family. Elva was born in Harlingen, TX on February 15, 1955 to Jose and Juana Nieto.

Elva spent most of her life in central Texas since the family moved to the area from the Harlingen and Santa Rosa areas when she was a small girl. She was a strong and faithful Christian woman. Mrs. Navarrete was humble, kind, and always willing to lend a hand to anyone she could when she was able. Elva was a social butterfly that had never met a stranger. She loved to spend time being with her friends and family. She will be remembered as always being happy and joyful. Elva loved all kinds of music and could spend hours on end listening to music. Above all else in life, Elva's greatest treasure was her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Noemi Nieto.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Stephanie Rodriguez and husband, Adolfo, Nancy Nieto Martinez and husband, Noe, Juanita Navarrete; son, Luis Navarrete and wife, Lisa; sister, Eva Nieto; and especially her 17 grandchildren.
