Ellen Isensee

Services for Ellen Walters Isensee, 94, of Temple will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 13th at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Rick Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Ellen Isensee died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at her residence.

Ellen was born on October 10, 1920 to Elbert Earnest Walters and Ester Morris Walters in Montague County, Texas. She married her soul mate, Leon A. Isensee on June 12, 1940. Ellen resided in the Temple area since 1947 and she joined the First Methodist Church of Temple in 1960 where she served in the church nursery for over twelve years. She also worked for the McClellans Store for over twenty years and retired from Hancock Fabrics with seven and a half years employment. Ellen had a love for gospel music and working in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents husband, Leon A. Isensee and former husband, William Pechal one sister, Vern Lovelady three brothers Bethel Walters, Rex Walters, and Lloyd Walters and one daughter Patricia Zinn.

Survivors include one sister, Lois Lanie two grandchildren Latishia Adams and Christopher Zinn five greatgrandchildren Madison Zinn, Emma Adams, Christopher Zbranek, Kayla Zbranek, and Morgan Adams.

Visitation will be 68 pm Friday, December 12th at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
