ELIZABETH "LIZ" MARTIN
Memorial Services for Liz Martin of Belton will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton, Texas with Pastor Ryan Kiblinger officiating. Interment will be at Little River Wilson Valley Cemetery at a later date.
Liz Martin passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at a local care facility.
Liz was born on September 9th in Bell County to A.L. Marks and Carrie Boman Marks. She was a prominent business owner in the North Texas apparel industry. Liz was past President of the North Texas Republican Men's Association. She was a member of Central Texas Republican Women, Bell County Newcomers, the Pachyderm Club, and a Certified Master Gardner. Her business travels took her to Europe and the Middle East, among many other places. She was a member of the Foundation United Methodist Church in Temple. Liz was very outgoing and had a strong will. She loved her family and was a great cook. Liz was a cancer survivor - may this bring you hope.
She is preceded in death by husband, Carl Martin; parents; daughter, Patricia Ann Brown; brothers, A.L. Marks, Jr., Jim Marks, Billy Joe Marks; sisters, Margaret Mile, Dorris Wiggins, Katy Allston, and Shirley Marks.
Survivors include her companion, Wallace B. Reid; brothers, Don Marks and Bobby Marks; grandchildren, James Munson, Angela Simmons, Carla Hernandez, Brian Munson; and twelve great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
