Services for Elisia S. Castillo, 67, of Temple will be 10:00 am Monday, March 2, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.
Elisia passed away Tuesday, February 24th at a local hospital.
She was born May 12, 1947 in Bartlett, Texas to Regino C. Sauseda and Brigida Estrada Sauseda. Elisia married Isidro Castillo in December 1973 and they started their family in 1980 with Rita and David in 1982. Becoming a mother and grandmother was her proudest achievement. Her heart's desire was in music, dancing, and collecting of knick-knacks which decorated her home. She was always seen in the brightest of colors. Elisia shared love, warmth, and stories of the younger days with her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and attended with her daughter and grandchild. The family would like to encourage everyone to bring a hair bow or barrette to honor Elisia.
Preceded in death are her parents and sister, Dolores "Lola" Vasquez.
Elisia is survived by her husband; son, David Castillo of Temple; daughter, Rita Castillo of Temple; brother, Marcus Sauseda of Belton; sister, Jesucita Jimenez Saucedo; grandchild, Marisol Castillo; mother-in-law, Isabel Castillo of San Luis Potosi, Mexico; three nieces and one nephew.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 - 8 p.m. Sunday, March 1st at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Recitation of Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m.
