Elaine Lam

Mildred Elaine Lam, age 81 of Rosenberg, passed from this life Saturday, January 21, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby at 3 pm.

Elaine was born on June 23, 1941, to Ellis D. and Eulalia D. Willis in Pancake, Texas. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Elaine always made sure everybody was happy. She treated everyone as family. Elaine enjoyed traveling and photography. She was also a die-hard Houston Astros fan.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Luther Lam; brothers, Garnett Willis, and Harold Willis; sisters, Wanda Willis; and sons, Russell Luther Lam, and Victor Luther Lam.

Survivors include daughter, Sherri Meador and husband, Mike of Rosenberg, brothers, David Willis of Granbury, and Mike Willis and wife, Cindy of Greenwood, Florida; sister, Patricia Willis of Tennessee, sister-in-law, Donna Willis of Grandview; daughter-in-law, Melinda Lam of Spring; 6 grandchildren, Joshua Lam, Jason Lam, Jacob Lam, Amanda Talley, Matthew Meador, and Douglas Meador; 7 great grandchildren, Presley Lam, Levi Lam, Charles Talley, Eric Talley, Maxwell Meador, Lily Meador, and Isaac Meador; and 1 great-great grandson, Jeffrey Talley.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, February 3, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
