Edwin Fisher

Private services for Edwin Leland Fisher, 86, of Temple will be held at a later date. Edwin passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at a local hospital.

Edwin Leland Fisher was born to proud parents, Albert Francis Fisher and Dean Whitten Fisher in Weslaco, Texas. He was a student of Weslaco School District from first grade through High School where he was the manager of the district 40A Panthers Team the same year he graduated in 1948. Ed was also elected "the most popular boy" in school his junior year. After dating in high school, Ed married Ann Waller on September 6, 1949. They are parents of Debs Fisher Thomas, David Leland Fisher, and Edward Doss Fisher. Ed was a partner in his Dad's company, Fisher Pipeline, and later became owner. He retired in 1994 and moved to Kerrville, Texas where they resided until moving to Temple in 2010.

Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife of 65 years and three children, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
