Edward L. Goodell, 81, of Temple died March 16th at a local hospital. No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Goodell was born May 26, 1927 to George and Minnie Rotzsky Goodell in Olive Township, Clinton County, Iowa. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1945 until his retirement in 1973 at the rank of SSG at Ft. Hood. He has lived in this area for 33 years. He was a Lutheran.

Mr. Goodell was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Goodell.

He is survived by a brother, Arlond Goodell in Davenport, Iowa and a sister, Mildred Hesse of Bloomfield, Iowa.
