Edith Davidson

Services for Edith Davidson, 90, of Temple will be 10:00 am Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Interment will be 1:00 pm at Taylor City Cemetery on East Hwy 79.

Edith Davidson passed away on Monday, July 6th at a local nursing home facility.

Edith was born December 20, 1924 to Frank John Machacek and Mary Nemec Machacek in Deming, New Mexico. She attended school in Holland and the Friendship School in Granger. Edith married Elmo Davidson and they resided in Granger, Texas as farmers and she retired as a maintenance supervisor from the University of Texas in Austin. She enjoyed cross stitch, picking pecans, baking, cooking, and visits with her family. Edith was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, James Raymond Machacek and Douglas Davidson, brothers; Frankie Machacek and Bill Machacek, and sisters; Georgie Davis and husband Bill and Gertrude Gilchrist.

Survivors include sisters; Dorothy Williams Palla and husband Arthur, Mary Soudelier and husband Earl; grandchildren; Justin Davidson and Lucas Davidson; great-grandchildren; Hailey Davidson, Ryan Davidson, and Kyler Davidson.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9 - 10 am at the Funeral Home Chapel.
