Ed Wright, Jr.

Graveside services for Ed Curtis Wright, 88, of Temple will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Bellwood Memorial Park and Cemetery with H.K. Ballard and Lee Mayes officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 am at Bellwood.
E. C. Wright, Jr. passed away on Friday January 8th at a local care facility.
E.C. was born on September 13, 1927 to Ed. C. Wright, Sr. and Claria Jones Wright in Galveston, Texas. He married Betty Jo Marshall in 1946. Ed graduated from Temple High School and Temple College. He worked for Scott and White Hospital as an X-Ray Technician, served our country in the United States Navy, and retired as a Railroad Conductor for the Sante Fe Railroad. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. E.C. was a rancher and ran Black Angus Cattle. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceded in death are his wife of over 50 years, Betty Jo Marshall Wright; parents; and son, Larry Robert Wright.
Survivors include his brother, Billy Mack Wright; his godson, Travis Huckabee and wife LeeAnn; two nieces; one nephew; and a grand-nephew.
