alignjustifyMrs. Cook died peacefully Friday evening 08 August, 2008 at Scott White after succumbing to a long illness.

alignjustifyBorn December 25th, 1929 in Ft Worth, TX, Mrs. Cook grew up in several areas of this great state from the Piney Woods of North East Texas to the Texas Gulf Coast. After marrying her husband James H. Cook in 1947, they settled in the McKinney area north of Dallas where she raised four children. Mrs. Cook relocated to Temple with her family in 1965 where she became an active member of the First Baptist Church of Temple and regularly sang with the church choir. She spent many years volunteering as an aide with the Temple Independent School District, working at Bealls Department Store, and for the last 20 years as a Nanny here in town. While living in Temple, Mrs. Cook and her husband adopted another child growing their family to five children.

alignjustifyShe is survived by her husband James H. Cook of Temple, children Julie Beck of Camilla, TX; Patrick Cook of Katy, TX, Michael Cook of Ewa Beach, HI, and Adrienne Cook of Dallas, TX. She is also grandmother to Jehon-Pol, Tyfanni, Robyn, Shannan, Danny, Patricia, Jimmy, Benjamin, Mandalynn, Justin, Brandon, and Madison as well as great-grandmother to Ebalyn, Angela, Jordan, Dilon, Logan, Jaden, Melissa, Russel, Rebecca, Clark, Angelica and Angelo. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her eldest son Walter Cook of Morgan City, LA.

alignjustifyA viewing for Mrs. Cooks family and friends will take place Tuesday 12 August, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Harper Talasek Funeral home. Services will be officiated by Pastor Theiss Jones and held at Bellwood Memorial Park on Wednesday 13 August, 2008 at 10 A.M.
