Dorthea Lee Rea Simmons, 88, of Troy died Oct 3, 2010 at a local hospital. Visitation will be 68 pm, Wednesday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple with Rev. Harlan Haines officiating.
Mrs. Simmons was born October 14, 1921 to Robert Lee and Zelma Rector Rea in Belfalls. She was a homemaker and had lived in this area her entire life. She married William Franklin Simmons who preceded her in death in 1982. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of First Baptist Church in Troy.
She is survived by daughters, Sharon Jilson and Rebecca Cantu of Troy son, Robert Oliver of Troy.
4 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.
