Dorothy Shoptaw

Services for Dorothy Jane Shoptaw, 80, of Pineville, Missouri and formerly of Belton will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Joe Tillis officiating.

Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Mrs. Shoptaw died Friday, May 20, in Neosho, Missouri.

She was born June 23, 1935 to Leslie and Beatrice Parsons in Lanagan, Missouri. She graduated from Anderson High School. She married Richard Shoptaw. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pineville.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include five sons, Bobby Shoptaw, Richard Shoptaw, Darald Shoptaw, David Shoptaw, and Dennis Shoptaw; a daughter, Judy Marek; a brother, Berton Parsons; a sister, Velma Ottendorf; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any charity.

Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
