Services for Dorothy Lee Ondrasek 86, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Seaton Brethren Church with Pastor Denise Mikeska officiating. Burial will be at Seaton Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Church.
Mrs. Ondrasek of Burlington passed away in her home.
She was born December 4, 1928, to Frank Vavra and Johanna Engelman in Caldwell, TX. She graduated from Caldwell High School. She worked in Caldwell until she met and married Marvin Ondrasek in 1950. They were in the grocery business for 9 years. Later she went to work at the Green's Sausage House and worked there for many years. She was a member of the Seaton Brethren Church and the Christian Sisters. She loved flowers and gardening. She canned and froze many different vegetables. She shared them with her family and friends. She also made jelly for her children. Their favorite was grape. She loved music which included gospels, czeck, and country western.
She is survived by 2 Sisters; Virginia Barnett of Caldwell and Sister, Patricia Vavra of Caldwell, 2 Sons; David Ondrasek & wife Gwen of Houston and Michael Ondrasek & wife Mindy of Liberty Hill. 4 Grandchildren; Chad Ondrasek of Katy, Dustin Ondrasek of Cedar Park, Cole Ondrasek of Liberty Hill, Carly Ondrasek of Liberty Hill along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her Husband; Marvin Ondrasek, Parents; Frank Vavra and Johanna Engelman, 2 Sisters Viola Skrabanek of Caldwell and Martha Hoffman of Caldwell, 1 Brother Lawrence Vavra of Caldwell.
In Lieu of flowers please make donation to Seaton Brethren Church located at 12561 State Hwy 53 Temple, Texas.
Visitation will be held at 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
