Dorothy Kirk

Graveside Services for Dorothy Kirk, 97, of Temple will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 27 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Reverend Jack Riley officiating.

Dorothy Kirk passed away on April 25, at a local care facility.

She was born November 18, 1917 to John Franklin Yates and Dessie Rowena Doshier in Temple. She attended Little Flock School House. She married J.B. Kirk when she was 16 years old. She was a proud farmer's wife while raising her three boys. She loved quilting and painting. She collected old coins, and toy tractors. She was the President of the Home Demonstration Club. She also was a member of the Church of Christ in Temple.

She is survived by her three sons; John William Kirk and wife Lynn, Bob Kirk and wife Carolyn, Wayne Kirk and wife Cheryl and one sister, Mildred Gillepsie, and four grandchildren along with numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 26 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
