Dorothy Butler

Dorothy Viola McCray Butler, 85 of Deer Park and formerly of Temple, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in a Deer Park nursing facility. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday, October 23, 2010 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Deacon Bill Smetana officiating. Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery.

Dorothy Butler was born February 14, 1925 to Thearon and Gertrude Blankenship McCray in Belton, Texas. On July 19, 1955 she was married to William Bill Butler. He preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Butler worked as a homemaker. She was a Baptist.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a son, Frank.

Survivors include sons, Lloyd Butler of Pasadena and William Richard Butler of Cleveland, Oklahoma, brother, Darrell McCray of Clearlake, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 68pm Friday, October 22, 2010 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
